EDIT: I've found an answer - apparently I can, so I'm going to give it a try

 

Probably a very simple question, but I can't find an answer to this on the internet - can I install 6 DIMMS in my motherboard (MSI X399 SLI Plus)?  The manual only shows positioning for 2,4 or 8 DIMMs.  I know DDR4 has to be installed in pairs, but I'm assuming 3 pairs will be ok??

 

I'm running low on memory at times, so rather than having to manage each day I'd rather just add a bit more but I don't need 64GB yet so 2x16GB will be enough.
