January 29, 20197 yr I am considering to buy an Mibox (Xiaomi) to use as thin streaming client. There seems to be many different models in the market. Any experience on the different Mibox models and also how it compares to the Nvidia Shield TV?
January 29, 20197 yr Hi there, I´m using my Shield TV since 2015 (the small one with 16GB flash including remote and controller), so around 3,5 years. First upgrade 1.1 in 2015 was level up to Android 5.1, last upgrade 7.2 in December 2018 included the latest monthly Android security patch (I think November or December 2018, not sure). It is now on Android 8.1 OREO. So the update/upgrade work from Nvidia is really good. In my opinion the box is still the best one in the market.
