having an odd issue

latest unraid build  6.10.0.rc2 with zfs plugin. I can get it to work fine without ram transoding but as soon as I point to a /tmp folder it fails. access denied. 

 

I am wondering if ram transcoding is not an option anymore, something with zfs or my /tmp folder is setup wrong?

Thank you, Binhex, for all you're doing. My problem is my installation seems to have got messed up. My machine has gone through a few different networks. I'm not sure if the port mappings have got messed up along the way, but now Jellyfin throws errors when I try to play videos. I can open up the web client, but when I try to play any media it says:

Playback Error

This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format.

 

It's tricky because I don't even know the proper way to go about asking the question and solving the problem. I noticed the port mappings seemed weird. I switched the docker to "host" mode and changed the port mappings to my LAN ip, but didn't solve playback.

Is my Jellyfin destroyed or salvageable?

10.7.7-1-01 is latest tagged release, are you up to date?.

It said there were no updates available and I was on the default branch that came with the container. I'm running the linuxserver one now without any problems. Not sure what it was.

I pulled down the latest image and checked the version in the web UI and it was up to date so you must have been targeting a specific tagged version would be my guess.

I am trying to recover my Jellyfin setup after an issue with my Cache drive. I copied back over the config and data folder, from a backup, but I am getting:

Is there any way to recover from this? Or am I hosed?

 

EDIT: Never mind, I'm hosed. Using a Hex editor I looked at a collection of files I have, and they filled with random blocks of null characters and "00" blocks.

i tried changing the network type to none and setting extra arguments to "--net=container:binhex-delugevpn" but it just block the webUI even when i adding port 8096 & 8920 in the delugeVPN docker.

I have a problem, when i enter the repos for plugins, then click on catalog, it only loads but not show anything.

Do you know where the problem can be?

When i delete the repos then it shows me a few, but i correctly added the repos-.-

Hey guys, so my original flash drive got corrupted and I had to go through the process of doing everything from scratch.
However, some of the docker containers have picked up old data and started working right away.

I tried to do that with jellyfin, and it finds my old server name, but cannot connect to it.
I tried to delete everything and reinstall but I just get back to the same screen. It also wont let me set it up as new.

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Hello everyone, I just updated to Version: 10.8.6 on unraid and all of my users have disappeared and I can't add more for some reason. My users are still there because I can still see them in android version on my phone, just not in unraid. Any ideas?

Thought I would try JellyFin again, I used it years ago on my unraid... I had it uninstalled, but now installed the docker ... but when I go to the server it loads a login screen, instead of the setup wizard.. I think somehow it is remembering my old install details from years ago... but I can not work out how to reset it. I do not remember any of my old log in details...

delete all files and folders in /config for this container

start container

Also a bug with JellyFin. If on first launch it asks for login, just reload the webpage and it will go to quick start guide instead

I am giving the container it's own IP and would like to use HTTPS to access it, but I am unclear on how I expose that port (8920) for clients to connect. I also want to open up the client discovery port (UDP 7359) so that my TVs and other such devices can find the server and make the setup easier.

 

I edited the Docker, added the ports, matched their settings to the one already defined port and this did not work. So there is a step or something I am missing.

I have the exact same issue. Unable to playback media Error. I have all the /dev/dir where they should go for Intel QuickSync but its not transcoding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed this container trying to get it to work with Intel Quicksync and to replace the linuxserver one; I found your container to be missing `/usr/lib/jellyfin-ffmpeg/vainfo --display drm --device /dev/dri/renderD128` - which is mentioned by Step 7 https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/administration/hardware-acceleration/intel/ as a verification that gpu and capabilities are detected.

 

I wasn't able to get my intel igpu transcoding to work with your image; linuxserver works fine... not sure why "vainfo" doesn't exist in your image but it does in the other ones.
