Does this sound reasonable?

 

The Delta AFC1212DE-PWM 4-pin fan sells in the upper $20.  However the Dell version are less expensive, refurbished and new.  My guess is that Dell added the 5-pin and probably switched the wires/pin around to be proprietary, but the fan itself is still standard.

 

So I took one of the stocked fans from the Norco with the 4-pin molex (but only 3-wire) and using a hair bobby pin, I popped out the wires from the molex KK housing with no problem.  So I am thinking buying the Dell version of the Delta AFC1212DE-PWM and doing the same thing, but replacing the 5-pin housing with the 4-pin housing.  I just need to for someone like starcat to verify the wire/pin alignment.
