January 30, 20197 yr What happened to HGST drives? I know Western Digital bought them, did they stop making them? They were my favorite drives, not sure what I will use now.
January 30, 20197 yr They were still out there a year ago when I was shopping around, but they seem to be harder to find at more typical retail and even some online shops.
January 30, 20197 yr WD discontinued the name around August of last year. Anything out there is old stock. I would love to find a chart that shows the equivalent HGST ---> WD drive. However, I also read that Toshiba now owns the HGST 3.5" technology. Edited January 30, 20197 yr by StevenD
