French-Guy
Hello I have a 4k LG TV, and I noticed I could see the usb drive attached on my router without doing anything specific...I guess it has to be something with dlna or upnp? On my router, it just says "Enable media sharing" How could I see my unraid server on my TV as well? Thanks Quote Link to comment
1812
Add plex docker or dlna docker Quote Link to comment
French-Guy
I've installed MiniDLNA (Binhex).....Didn't really know how to set it up, so I just clicked on "Done" It worked right away on my TV The only thing is I have 4 shares (MOVIES, TV SHOWS, MUSIC and PHOTOS) I can see 3 of them, but not TV SHOWS....any idea why? Thanks Quote Link to comment

Thanks without any information from the server, I can only guess that one share is not setup correctly Quote Link to comment
French-Guy
Maybe...I will have to look at it However, i can access all my share thru SMB (from my Xbox with VLC, and from my WD TV Live, and also from a Raspberry pi B3+ with Kodi) Is there any specific settings PER share I should look at? JonathanM
Maybe the client is borked and doesn't parse spaces in share names? Try changing the share to TV_SHOWS and see if it changes. Quote Link to comment
French-Guy
Yes.....now it works with TV_SHOWS 👍 But I realize now that my TV doesn't seem to read some of my MKV files ☹️ Need to find out the format of those files Edited February 2, 2019 by French-Guy Quote Link to comment

Well that is if your TV supports the Plex app. That what I did for the 3 Vizio TV's in my house and Apple TV/Plex on my Non Plex Supported TV. Quote Link to comment
