I know it probably shouldn't work, but... the code for 10% off the MB works with this combo. I didn't actually buy this deal, since I'm looking at another pricier MB(8SATA+3PCIx1). But I tested it all the way thru NewEgg's checkout, to the very last page where I would have been charged.

 

The promo code is MBTEN923 and took off another $7 bringing the total down to $80.98. This seems like a good deal. I have to admit I'm very tempted to pull the trigger, since I'm new to UnRaid and this seems like a fullproof/tested starter setup.

how long do the combo discounts normally run?

Tough to say....a few days to a week, maybe?  If you are thinking about this one, I would just grab it now, it is definitely a quality deal.
