unraid as switch?

Featured Replies

Hey, so i wanna upgrade my network to 10gbits (copper) rj45. Because i get 1gbits internet and i dont want my internet getting slowed down by network traffic.

But i wanna save on 10gbits switches, can i configure unraid as a switch 1 gbit in WAN 10gbit out LAN?

Or do i need to install pfsense then? Because then i would need 3 nics, right?

Or can i with vanilla unraid connect 2 nics to one network?

NIC1 <= Switch with internet (and other LAN)

NIC2 => Switch with other part of LAN

Set eth0 to enable "bridge" and add another interface (eth1) as member. Disable bonding for eth0. Now you have a switch with two ports.
