February 6, 20197 yr Ive encrypted my whole setup, cache and array. Only parity is left, does it need to be encrypted? And if so, how? (my guess is, taht it dont need to be encrypted because its a parity of encrypted files, just want to make sure) Edited February 6, 20197 yr by nuhll

February 6, 20197 yr Just to clarify, parity works at the physical sector level and has no understanding of the meaning of the contents of the sectors. That means parity is completely independent of what file system is in use or whether it is encrypted or not.
