New to unraid trying to add more internal sata ports to my unraid server.  Tried everything I can think of including 3 different sata pci cards.

including this one which is officially supported in the the unraid hardware document

All of them seem to do the same thing when I put the card I can't access the server.  On the start tech I changed the jumpers to the correct config so that its using internal sata not external.  I can't even shut down the server properly when it has a card I have to hold the power button to shut it off.  I must be doing something wrong I popped the card in and check all the settings in bios to make sure there arn't any settings that would effect weather the motherboard could see the card.  In sata section it doesn't even see the card or the drives connected to it.  Is there some installation process I'm missing?   Do i need to insall windows on my server and install drivers of some sort maybe?  My MOBO is Asrock AB350 Pro 4 don't have windows installed on it currently.  Newest version of unraid. I know there is $100 sas card which is what unraid uses in their servers but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative if possible.  Speed isn't really needed.

Thanks apriciate any help.
