Hard Drives Randomly becoming Disabled due to disk errors in unRAID

i have 8 HDD in  my array with one parity. i keep getting disk errors on 4 out of the 8 drives including the parity. i have changed the sata cables and tried different ports on the motherboard. nothing has worked. i keep trying to run a SMART scan but it snot working. please help. what do i do to gets the drives to work?

Also when I reboot the computer everything goes back to normal (no errors) but my parity drive still says faulty even though it’s a brand new WD red drive

Never use the Marvell controller, the first 4 white ports, they are known for constantly dropping disks on those boards.

Okay that’s great to know. Thank you. When I get home later tonight I will remove them from these ports and put them in the other 3 open data ports. I only have 3 more available ports. I hope I can manage because I have 4 un cooperative drives

just unplugged from that Marvell controller and used the other controllers. i removed one HDD from my array due to lacking one more sata port. the parity is rebuilding now. hope it works.
