Onboard audio sometimes does not work

I have a strange issue that only happens sometimes when I don't have my amplifier for my speakers on, or using the correct input. My main Win10 VM is set to autoboot when UNRAID starts, but sometimes if I don't get the amplifier turned on before or even after it has booted, then I get no sound passthrough.

90% of the time everything is fine, but it is almost as if the audio jack is 'sensing' a connection to initialize.

This is a very minor issue but has anyone experienced the same thing?
