Featured Replies

but in HD Tune it has a C7 interface cfc error count of 11730 which i fault was done because i had a cable gong bad

my question is this when i try and preclear it my log goes upto 100% has this only happens on this drive also if i check the preview i can see some errors or warrings but its so fast im not sure what it says is this drive ok to use

Is this a question?

If so we have no idea without Diagnostics.

how can i get a Diagnostics from a drive not in pool

Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete diagnostics zip to your next post.

Diagnostics includes SMART report for all attached disks whether they are assigned or not.

SMART for that disk looks OK. Probably bad connection or cable as you said.

SMART attributes look OK but there are recent media read errors (UNC at LBA):

Error 395 [10] occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 24138 hours (1005 days + 18 hours)
When the command that caused the error occurred, the device was active or idle.

After command completion occurred, registers were:
ER -- ST COUNT LBA_48 LH LM LL DV DC
  -- -- -- == -- == == == -- -- -- -- --
  40 -- 51 00 00 00 00 53 06 aa 20 40 00 Error: UNC at LBA = 0x5306aa20 = 1392945696

You should run an extended SMART test.

Device Model:     WDC WD60EFRX-68MYMN1
Serial Number:    WD-WX31D847KYKF

self-test in progress 10% complete for sometime now

  • Community Expert

Estimated time is in the SMART report:

Extended self-test routine
recommended polling time: ( 709) minutes.

SMART test completely successfully, so it's good for now, but previous errors are not a good sign, keep an eye on it.
