New Storage Build

Featured Replies

I am new to servers and have never used unraid before. My fiance is a photographer that has a lot of photos she needs stored and her current raid storage is not enough. I was hoping I could get some opinions on what we ordered. We do plan on running security cameras on this server as well.

Case: Norco RPC- 4224 24 drive hot swappable ( i also ordered the 120mm fan wall bracket for this)

Storage: Ordered 2 10TB Ironwolf pros plus 2 Samsung 500GB SSD for a cache pool, we will be moving over 5 8TB HDDs from her current server to this one, once i can move the data over.

Motherboard: MSI H370 Gaming Plus LGA 1151

Controller Card: Supermicro AOC-SAS 8 port

Power supply: Corsair TX-M 550W  Plus Gold Certified ( Does this seem like enough Wattage for what i need?)

RAM: G.Skill Trident RGB Series 2x16GB DDR4

Proccessor: Intel Core i5-8600

I don't believe that card is recommended for unraid. Pretty sure it has a marvell chipset, you want LSI / broadcom
