Conson Droppa
Before I get raked over the coals for this question let me explain the need and plan. I never ran an unRaid box with no Parity do I don't even know if it's possible. I just upgrade 3 drives in my main box which allowed me to remove 3 - 2 TB drives. I have a small Lenovo Server box and my plans are to crank it up for the sole purpose of running Unifi Video Docker and hopefully Unifi Protect if Ubiquiti eventually releases a port. This will be for a residential Video setup and if I were to lose a data disk, a quick wipe and re-setup wouldn't be that big of a deal. FWIW the Unifi NVR's and gen 2 Cloud Keys themselves don't have any protection. So to make a long post short, can I pass up using my third disk for parity and have a 6 TB share without unRaid or Fix Common Problems screaming at me daily? Quote Link to comment
trurl
Parity is not required. Don't know if FCP will complain or not but you can disable any particular warning it gives. 1 Quote Link to comment
