February 24, 20197 yr Hi, I have an Unraid server that has been running on 6.6 fine for a long time. But now I am having issues with SMB copy's from certain shares. If I copy from one of my shares it starts copying straight away @ 100+MBps but if I copy from my other share it will spend many hours "discovering"/"preparing to copy" the copy will complete in the end but I have to leave it over night, I get the Same behaviour on 3 different computers on Wifi and ethernet. Writes to the share seem unaffected. Thanks in advance

February 26, 20197 yr Author All PC's are running activated windows pro. One desktop is wired, media PC is wired and my laptop is running through a ubiquity AP. I believe the problem is Unraid related because I can perform read copy's from one of My shares perfectly on all the different Computers on various network solutions, but then get the same results from the other share on all the different computers.

February 26, 20197 yr Author here is the diagnostic zip and a screen capture of what I see for hours. Another thing I have noticed is that I can transfer a large single file from the share no problem but as soon as I transfer a folder structure with many files it "Discovers". fyi, The share that I am having issues with is K--- in the diagnostic and the M---- share is the one that's fine. Thanks in advance tower-diagnostics-20190226-1337.zip Edited February 26, 20197 yr by kristovey
February 26, 20197 yr Community Expert Google Win10 slow copy and look at the 'hits'. If you find a solution there, please update this thread as others may soon run into this (or a similiar) problem. P.S.--- There may not be a single answer to this problem...
March 10, 20197 yr Author Iv have come the conclusion that the issue is due to the large number of files in the folders I am trying to copy. so I think the real question should be, What is the best way to do transfers of large folder structures from a mapped network drive on windows 10? Im using the Sync docker at the moment that seems to work well but its not ideal.
