Drive Disabled, can I get help with SMART report

Featured Replies

All of a sudden I noticed one of the drives in my array showing as disabled, so I've taken the array offline.  Attaching the diagnostics file (hard drive in question is "sdd").  Wondering if this drive is dead or if it can be rebuilt?

Disk is failing, you can run an extended SMART tests to confirm, though these errors can some times be intermittent, I would recommend replacing it even if it passes the test.

I think this was a loose cable - took out of array, reseated, rebuilt with no errors.  But in the process of upgrading the drives to be safe.  Thanks.

It wasn't, there are several UNC at LBA errors, these are media errors, though like mentioned they can be intermittent.

Looks like your right, having problems zeroing drives.  I went and purchased some new drives.

There is really no reason at all that you should have to "All of a sudden notice" something like this.

You must setup Notifications to alert you immediately by email or other agent when Unraid detects a problem. If you don't take care of one problem, you could wind up not being able to completely recover from multiple problems.
