WingmanNZ
Currently I have hand edited options at the end of my VM XML config, as well as a manually selected network model `<model type='vmxnet3'/>` Example: </devices> <qemu:commandline> <qemu:arg value='one'/> <qemu:arg value='two'/> <qemu:arg value='three'/> <qemu:arg value='four'/> </qemu:commandline> </domain> Could the Template editor keep these custom edits by offering an editable field in the template to add <qemu:commandline>, and also offer a dropdown for the network card to allow selecting a model? Thank you in advanced Edited February 26, 2019 by WingmanNZ 3 1 Quote Link to comment

WingmanNZ
@bonienl Is this something you could add in an upcoming release? Quote Link to comment
bonienl
Will look into this, but no guarantees when/if it becomes available. 1 Quote Link to comment

cammelspit
Should be an easy win for LT on this one. Doesn't sound too hard and man would it make it WAY more convenient for us who use custom XML to do stuff with our VMs. BIG ol' +1 from this guy 👍👍 Quote Link to comment

meep
This would be very useful! As a workaround, you can use VIRT-Manager docker to make edits. It's non-destructive on edit. It's not as tailored to unRaid though, but does provide more options via UI - which allows you to easily break stuff. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Another possibility that might be reasonable to implement is to have a field in the form view where you can enter a custom XML fragment that is to always be present in the generated XML. Quote Link to comment
-Daedalus
I'll throw my +1 here as well. Quote Link to comment
