Malfurious
Greetings everyone! I'm hoping someone may be able to help me as I have been beating my head against a wall with this. Here are my Unraid server specs first. AMD Threadripper 2920X ASRock X399 Fatal1ty Motherboard 32gb Gskill DDR4-3200 10x3tb WD Red Nvidia Titan X Pascal in the top Primary PCI-E slot Nvidia Geforce 210 secondary gpu 4 port Sata card I am trying to passthrough the Titan X to a VM but no matter what I do I can only get a black screen, no video output. I have watched Spaceinvader's video and followed his steps to no avail with the GPU BIOS. I also tried stubbing the GPU. I've attached my VM profile if anyone could give some advice. bastl
@Malfurious I have the same motherboard like you and 2 different Nvidia cards. 1080ti in the top slot and a 1050ti in the 3rd slot. To pass through a card in the top slot, you need the VBios for that card in your xml. Or you switch the cards. Top slot the 210 for use of Unraid itself. Quote Link to comment

There was someone a few days ago that had the same problem and dumping his VBIOS off GPU-z worked and not the techpowerup one.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
Malfurious
@bastl Thanks for that info! I will indeed try that. I will also try dumping the bios with gpuz. Quote Link to comment
bastl
Another info. All my dumped BIOS doesn't work out of the box, same for the TechPowerUp ones. I had tu manual edit them. Check SpaceInvaders Video @Malfurious Quote Link to comment
Malfurious
@bastl Success! I went through the hassle of opening up my server and re-organizing the video cards so that my GF210 was in slot 1, and my Titan in slot 2. Booted the first time successfully without the gpu bios! Thanks for the help! Quote Link to comment

iamgadgetman
What if we don't have a windows box, though? How did you get the GPU to work with a laptop souljatechie? I'm trying to tie an old Nvidia 750 GTXi to a windows VM. Quote Link to comment
