February 28, 20197 yr Hi, I've just removed a drive and I want to keep the rest of my server as is. How do I keep all data and get my server back online less the drive I've just removed? It was an old SSD drive that turned out to be bad. No data was on it. I've removed it but it is looking for the missing drive. I've got the array back online but it says unprotected. Thank you.

That is the way to change the disk assignments while keeping their current contents. Note that since you are removing a drive you will need to rebuild parity as removing a disk invalidates parity.
