showstopper
Hi all, With all the momo stuff at the moment i thought i would look into a (free) webfilter that i can proxy all my devices at home through. I already use pi-hole for some of my devices and guess i could use that, but i was wondering if there was a docker that i have missed that may do webfiltering (to block youtube). If anyone is using something could you let me know please? Cheers. Quote Link to comment
matt91
If you really just want to block entire domains, then pihole is the easiest way to go (especially since you already have it set up.) I'd add a regex entry of something like youtube\.com$ to block everything from youtube.com and all subdomains. You could probably also just blacklist www.youtube.com and youtube.com and get essentially the same effect. If, however, you want to filter on actual URLs (vs domains) then pihole can't help, and you'll need to look elsewhere. Hope that helps, matt Quote Link to comment
showstopper
Cheers matt. I have been tinkering with opendns and that looks like it will suit my needs quite well. Quote Link to comment
whipdancer
Not saying a webfilter isn't a good idea in general (i'm using pfsense), but you mentioned it by name...http://digg.com/2019/momo-challenge-explained Quote Link to comment
