March 3, 20197 yr Hey there I have been having issues wit my unRAID 6.6.7 reboots instead of powering off, when I choose the power down option When I want to shut down and power off my unRAID 6.6.7 server, I chose to; stop the array, then I chose to power down. Problem is that this just reboots the server, the computer just reboots and does not power of, and I have no clue why, it worked fine with the exact same setup using an old 4.xx unRAID build I used before. Its a clean install, with all new hard drives, and besides that, it is the exact same hardware, that I have used all the way back since I build my first 4.xx unRAID server, and it has never been a problem before ? Hope it makes sense, if not I will try to answer questions to the best of my ability Hoping that someone in here have had a similar issue and can help me out ? Cheers... Dennis
March 3, 20197 yr Community Expert This is usually board related, even if it didn't happen with the older kernel, look for a bios update.
March 3, 20197 yr Author My setup is this: GA-MA74GM-S2H Sempron LE 1250 4GB DDR2 I am running the latest official Gigabyte bios:https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-MA74GM-S2H-rev-1x#support-dl-bios So I am not sure what I could do different bios wise ? Cheers.... Dennis

Likely not much, other than hoping a newer kernel changes the behavior again, you can also reset bios to defaults, little chance of working but it won't hurt either. You might also consider and upgrade, since that CPU will be slow for v6, even just working the GUI will be slow.
March 3, 20197 yr Author Thanks johnnie.black I will keep my fingers crossed and see what happens In regards to upgrading the CPU, right now I have no problem streaming 4K UHD Blu-RAY files from the server, and this is the sole reason for having the server do you think, in theory, that this will be a problem moving forward with my current setup ? Cheers... Dennis

Should be OK for that, it will likely be slow during parity checks/rebuilds and even the GUI might be a little slower than on a dual core or better, but if it's OK for you no need to upgrade.
March 4, 20197 yr Author @johnnie.black Sounds right, will be on the lookout for a new motherboard / cpu combo in the future, thanks again :)
