March 6, 20197 yr Hi I've just replaced a 1TB disk with a 4TB red and its running at only 11MB/s This is the first disk I've swapped since swapping it from an old L5630 to a new ryzen 2700x, using the same two M1015 and would expect it to run at 100MB/s at least. Please could you advise how best to troubleshoot this? nas-diagnostics-20190306-2334.zip Edited March 7, 20197 yr by helin0x
March 7, 20197 yr Community Expert There's something writing to the array, stop the writes and rebuild speed will be much faster.
March 7, 20197 yr Author its perpetually in use, if thats 100% it ill leave it. also I have one of the m1015s in a pcie 3 x4 slot, is that going to be crippling and am i better of using the onboard sata?

March 7, 20197 yr Community Expert Rebuilding uses all of the disks. Writing uses the disk you are writing plus the parity disk. The rebuilding is not using the same sectors that the writing is using, so it has to constantly switch back and forth and seek the correct sector each time it switches.
