Spydawg
Hi all noticed today after accessing the unraid usb key with WinSCP. There is 3348 files with .gz extension. This something new with the latest rc 6.7.0 builds? Link to comment
trurl
That is not a screenshot of your unraid usb key. It looks like it may be a screenshot of the root of some linux OS, possibly Unraid. If it is Unraid, then your usb key is actually in the boot folder in that screenshot. The Unraid OS is actually in RAM, not on the flash drive. It is unpacked from the archives on flash into RAM, where it would appear like that if you were to browse the root of the OS, except there are none of the .gz files at the root. And no, it has nothing at all to do with the latest RCs. I would say it's probably unique to your system and can't imagine how they got there. They don't even look like any packages that anyone might use on Unraid. Are you sure you aren't being hacked? Post your diagnostics. Link to comment
Spydawg
You're right, I believe the boot folder is the usb key right? This is the root dir that winscp connects to.. The reason I connected to it was the unraid server seemed sluggish. I rebooted the unraid but it never came back up, waited 30 minutes.. I then pushed the power button to power off the server, then powered it back up and it did load up this time. Connected with WinSCP and noticed these files in the root dir. I'll attach a diagnostics. tower-diagnostics-20190308-0010.zip Link to comment

Nothing obvious in there. So you connected by scp to the root folder of the Unraid OS. And now there are extra files in the root folder of the Unraid OS. With nothing else but that to go on I would say you put them there with scp. Link to comment
John_M
@Spydawg Does this Github page ring any bells? Many of the files appear in that repository. See this build sheet. Maybe you downloaded them and accidentally put them in your root file system. Link to comment
Spydawg
Well I don't have a clue where this came from, I didn't add any dockers or plugin to the unraid server. @John_M That github page does not ring any bells.. this is strange.. Should be safe to delete I guess.. Thanks all Link to comment
