(SOLVED) Unraid 6.6.7 hangs / becomes unresponsive

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am currently trying Unraid on a new build but am having stability problems. After a varying amount of time (~15mins - ~6 hours) Unraid hangs and becomes unresponsive and does not respond to pings, ssh connections nor requests made from the UI until after a reboot. I have attached the diagnostics from the `Tools/Diagnostics` page and some previous syslogs. As I am sure you will see I have some docker containers running and a few shares setup.

I have tried with and without my nvidia GPU attached, booted into Ubuntu from a live USB for an hour and run some sysbench's to test the CPU. I also ran the memtest utility from the Unraid USB, all of which worked fine.

System specs are as follows:

MB: Aorus X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700

RAM: Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2666C16W Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2666 MHz

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Classified (Often run with this disconnected)

HDDs: 3x4TB WD RED drives

The MB has the latest bios (F6) installed and the AMD virtualisation feature enabled.

Plugins:

Community Applications: 2019.02.21

Fix Common Problems: 2019.02.18

ssh Plugin: 2018.01.22

User Scripts: 2019.01.13a

I have Logstash, Docker and Kibana containers running in docker, with plex and H265ize installed but not running.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

Cheers

There are known issues with Ryzen and Linux, most are discussed in this thread.

Thanks, setting the power idle mode as suggested/ re-suggested here:

Seems to have done the trick, if you don't hear back from me its all running OK :).

Cheers
