March 8, 20197 yr Hi, Since "upgrading" my single 480GB SSD to 4X 480GB SSD I have been having issues with the intermittant freezing with the activity LED being solid for anything from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes. Can anyone please take a look to see if I have a config issue please? thinking about going back to single drive again as never had a problem but really wanted to have the speed and redundancy of 4 disks. I also see in my devices I have two controllers, would I benefit from putting two disks on one controller and the other two on the other controller? Thank you unraidserver-diagnostics-20190308-0924.zip
March 8, 20197 yr First, there are have been read and writes errors on cache2: Mar 7 00:45:30 UNRAIDSERVER kernel: BTRFS info (device sdo1): bdev /dev/sdp1 errs: wr 59, rd 10, flush 0, corrupt 0, gen 0 See here for what to do and how to keep an eye on the pool. As for the performance, you can try raid10, should give you a little boost, also make sure the SSD trim plugin is running regularly.
March 8, 20197 yr Author Thank you Johnnie! Converting to RAID10 now, I have the SSD Trim set to Daily already, is that too much? Also what are your thoughts on have two drives on one controller and two on the other? any gains?
