NCQ Disabled on SSD Cache drive

Featured Replies

I recently installed a second cache drive as a pool drive. Cache now consists of 2 x SanDisk 1TB SSD drives. I've seen no symptoms of problems, but I see this in the log of the new drive after it had been running a while..

Note that the issue is 'NCQ disabled due to excessive errors'. Is this a sign that the new SSD drive is bad and should be RMA'd or is there something else I should check? I understand that NCQ is critical for SSD drive performance.

Also - how do I force Unraid to reenable NCQ and try again?

Thanks!

First thing to try is to replace the cables.

Thanks. I'll try that. However, how do I reenable NCQ so it will try again? Does a reboot do that?
