October 8, 201015 yr Hey all, Quick question, I just recently built a brand new Unraid server, but instead of copying files over the wire from one to the other, is there a way I can just physically move the drives over to populate the new server, create an array from those disks and then add in more disks in the server to the array? Thanks!

Thanks! Yes. After moving the drives to the new array, stop the array, assign the drives, then at the command line type: initconfig Respond to its prompt with "Yes" (must be exactly three letters, a Capital "Y" and lower case "es") When you return to the main screen all the indicators will be BLUE. When you start the array a completely new parity calculation will begin based on the new disk configuration.
