BTRFS snapshots?

Featured Replies

I would love to take advantage of BTRFS snapshots to create incremental backups of some of my data.  There are a bunch of tools/scripts out there to automate this somewhat (ie. take snapshots at regular intervals), but I was wondering whether there are any proven to work with unRAID?  Since it is based on Slackware, installing custom packages from repositories isn't quite so easy.

Has anyone managed to get this working successfully?  Of course it would need to be done on a per-disk basis as each disk is a separate file system.

Thanks for any information!

Most should work, you can always try, I've been making my own, though I don't know nothing about scripts, but I'm good at googling what I want to do and find a few examples.

This thread shows you what to do. I implemented it and it works like a charm!
