Unable to boot on a new installation of 6.6.7

I'm new to Unraid and have already run into several issues. I'm trying to transfer to Unraid because I kept hearing how great of a user experience it is but this isn't a good first impression. First, my flash drive refused to be recognized as a bootable device until I performed the imaging manually instead of using the tool. Now I can get to the screen asking which version of Unraid to boot to, but the GUI and non GUI versions just get stuck at

mount: proc mounted on /proc

mount: sysfs mounted on /sys

mount: tmpfs mounted on /run

It will then sit on this screen with a blinking cursor indefinitely.

Try putting it in a USB2 port.

It is in a USB2 port connected directly to the mobo I/O

Properly formatting the USB drive can be difficult, possibly try using RUFUS to do the formatting step.

I'm not sure what you mean? The process seems straightforward.

What I mean is, when you tell the OS to format the drive, it doesn't necessarily change all the bits that need to be changed. It assumes the drive is basically set up in the first place, when that may not be true. RUFUS doesn't assume anything is correct on the USB, and formats from scratch in a fully compliant way. There are multiple ways to make a USB stick usable for general data storage, but making it work properly as a boot device is more picky.

The OS built in format utility can tell you everything is working ok, when it's not.

SOLVED

Issue was with some mismatching RAM in the build I had forgotten about.
