FrozenGamer
I am attaching 2 logs, one from yesterday when i first noticed read errors and one from this morning after a reboot yesterday. Only 1 disk had read errors in common, the rest were not on the same disks between last night and tonights logs - look 3/17/19 and 3/18/19 at approximately 00:33 tower-diagnostics-20190317-2136.zip tower-diagnostics-20190318-0733.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
The disks are timing out at the same time: Mar 18 00:33:35 Tower kernel: sd 7:0:21:0: timing out command, waited 180s ... Mar 18 00:33:35 Tower kernel: sd 7:0:19:0: timing out command, waited 180s ... Mar 18 00:33:35 Tower kernel: sd 7:0:24:0: timing out command, waited 180s See if they share anything besides the controller, like a miniSAS cable, power rail/splitter, etc, you should also update the LSI's firmware, current version is 20.00.07.00 FWVersion(11.10.07.00) Quote Link to comment
FrozenGamer
I found this firmware - https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9207-8e#tab-archive-drivers3-abc i assume lsi was bought by broadcom? Also if anyone happens to know how to install from unraid command prompt or best way to install the firmware.. I also saw bios updates as well for the card, not sure that i would need those or what they are versus a firmware update. Edited March 21, 2019 by FrozenGamer Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You should update both the firmware and the bios, it can be done with a FreeDOS flashdrive or similar. Quote Link to comment
