Access to UnRaid denied after reboot

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

A nagging problem that I can't seem to solve --

I leave my desktop PC on virtually 24x7. It's up and running all the time.  If I power down the Unraid box and then turn it on again, I can access the server via the web GUI, but cannot access any disks or shares via Explorer or any other application.  So every time I reboot Unraid I have to reboot my desktop, too (if I want to write or read from Unraid -- I can do server maintenance from the web GUI).

Is there any way to get my desktop (Windows XP) PC to recognize the Unraid box without having to reboot?

Thank you!

Dave

Do you have the unRAID server set as Master?

Brit,

Thanks for your response, but unfortunately I don't understand the question.  Is "set to master" something done on the UnRaid box or the Windows XP desktop??

Thanks,

Dave

You have to set it in the unraid control panel.

Local master

If set to Yes, then the server will attempt to become the local browse master.
