Device is disabled, Device emulated?

Featured Replies

Running low on space I added a new drive to my array.  I was using the server most of the day without issue until I added a new drive.  At the start of the clearing I got a warning that one of my drives showed rear errors.  In the main menu there is a red "X" and when I hover over the icon it shows the message "Device is disabled, Device emulated".

I downloaded the SMART report on the drive it shows:

Smartctl open device: /dev/sdo failed: No such device

I also brought up the main system log and it listed this:

Mar 20 21:10:02 Tower root: Fix Common Problems: Error: disk14 (WDC_WD20EARX-00PASB0_WD-WCAZA9034598) is disabled
Mar 20 21:10:02 Tower root: Fix Common Problems: Error: disk14 (WDC_WD20EARX-00PASB0_WD-WCAZA9034598) has read errors

So this drive is cooked?

Please post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics, then reboot/check cables and check if the drive comes online, if yes grab SMART report.
