March 27, 20197 yr I have a question: Recently upgraded my parity drive from 3TB to 8TB. The old 3TB parity drive is still good and would like to continue to use, but as 3TB data drive. I would like to replace the 2TB with the 3TB Drive. Do I have to do anything with the old 3TB drive? or Can I just assign the drive and parity will do its thing?!?

March 27, 20197 yr Community Expert Be sure you get a backup of flash after you make any changes to disk assignments. Reusing parity as data is exactly the scenario that will give you a surprise if you try to use an old flash backup. (hint: the old backup will think that data disk is still parity). And in general, you should always have a current backup of flash. Go to Main - Boot Device - Flash - Flash Backup to download a zipped copy of flash.
