Odom
Hi, I'm planning to get unRaid and build a setup based on Ryzen 5 2600. As I have been out of touch with hardware I'm having a hard time deciding on compatible hardware (mainboard & ECC RAM). I found a mainboard (ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate) that has a built-in 10GBe NIC. Is there a compatibility list where I can find out if this 10GBe NIC is compatible with unRaid? Or if I decide to get another 10GBe NIC (not built-in to the mainboard, as the ASUS 10GBe for example). Quote Link to comment
hitman2158
Google is your friend, my german fellow (saw your link will guide to a german webshop): https://www.aquantia.com/products/aqtion-nics/aqtion-aqn-107/ So the NIC should be supported by Linux. Maybe there are some users in this forum using this MoBo respectively the NIC. But take a look on https://geizhals.de/asrock-x470-taichi-ultimate-90-mxb7h0-a0uayz-a1804397.html Much more cheaper on other webshops😎🖖 Quote Link to comment
ljm42
It is a valid question, the Linux drivers for those cards may not be included in Unraid. If nobody can give you a direct yes or no, I would do a Google search for "unraid x470" and "unraid 10gbe" to see what you can find Quote Link to comment

Odom
Many thanks for the help, I didn't know that you could request certain drivers to be added to unRaid. I've got a very old PC from my brother since a couple of days ago and am giving uRaid Trial a go. My next purchase is an LSI expander card, after that I'll try and finalise my first build.
