Issues getting Kubuntu to boot

Hi all

I'm trying to learn how to use Linux more so I guessed I'd jump straight in and run a main PC as Linux for a while and see how I got on. I went for Kubuntu and after lots of swapping and changing I managed to get it installed, only to then try to boot back up into the installed OS and face the same issues I was getting when trying to install it originally. I managed to get it to show a display when using SeaBIOS and SATA disk type but when rebooting and removing the media I get stuck at a flashing cursor.

I'm passing through a Vega 56, mouse, keyboard and media adapter. I've dropped them all down one by one and changed drive type but no luck. I think the GPU is at fault as when I swap that out for VNC, it works fine.

Any ideas?
