Random restarts...

Featured Replies

Hey guys, ever since I built my server I've been getting these random restarts/crashes...

Sometimes it can run 5 days straight and other times it will restart twice a day....

I have attached the common problems log file... (My guess is a broken RAM module...)

Thanks in advance!

Have you done a memtest? It's on the boot menu.

@trurl Woah, sorry for the late reply... So when I try to run a memtest it'll crash and just boot into unraid....

That shouldn't happen and it makes me wonder if there isn't something wrong with your flash install.

Take another USB key and put a new install on it and use it to run memtest. Don't do anything to your real install flash yet.

@trurl  Did you see anything in the diagnostics file tho? I saw alot of turbo write plugin and deleted that one now... I'll get a new USB tommorow

Is this a brand new build or repurposed gear?   This could also be a flaky power supply.   Bad PS's have caused problems like this in the past.  (Plus, PS's are  easily and quickly replaceable and folks often have a spare one available or can borrow one from a friend.)
