    interesting discussion...is there anyone here who has installed an SSD as a cache drive? If so, could you post your experiences? After all, having a low-power, low-heat, and soon, affordable SSD as a cache sounds pretty enticing, they way Rajahal described it. But, does a cache drive increase write speeds that much on the whole? If so, one might also consider the new, affordable, green, one-platter Samsung F4 320GB (sells for about €34 in germany). Then again, there's always that issue of a loss of drive slot.
