mattfoss1068 Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 So I was having issues having this USB 3.0 card showing up in Unraid but I finally got it recognized but unfortunately I get an error trying to put it in a VM internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2019-04-08T14:58:34.845600Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=22:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.4,addr=0x0: vfio error: 0000:22:00.0: group 14 is not viable Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver. here is the pci card id Renesas Technology Corp. uPD720201 USB 3.0 Host Controller | USB controller (22:00.0) Please help. itimpi Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 What are your IOMMU groups? You cannot pass through only part of an IOMMU group - it is an all or nothing proposition. Link to comment
