April 9, 20197 yr Ever since a power failure about 2 weeks ago, my unraid machine is constantly crashing. Before then it ran perfectly. Since the power failure I bought a new PSU, new sata cables and even gave the machine 8GB RAM from another computer thinking that was the issue. I did run a Memtest and everything is clear. Before I spend any more money on this computer can you guys have a look, and please explain what I should be looking for when going through the logs? I'd like to be able to diagnose future problems myself as I have a feeling this won't be the last. Thanks in advance! I'm running Ver 6.6.7 btw, and I've shrank my attached image. April 9, 20197 yr Community Expert I know you said you did a memtest, but a memory problem is still my guess based on that display.
April 9, 20197 yr Author I ran the Memtest on the donor pc before moving the RAM, not on the unraid machine itself. I'll do another Memtest while I sleep because now you have me thinking it could be a faulty dimm slot on the motherboard itself. I'll followup tomorrow.
April 9, 20197 yr Author Well.. Turns out the RAM is good but there's something seriously wrong with my Motherboard or CPU. I watched the computer power cycle itself during the Memtest as if someone hit the reset button. Now it seems to be rebooting every 1-2 hours. Subject marked as solved as it has nothing to do with Unraid software.
