Hi everyone

I hope anyone can assist.

Let me explain .

I come from a Product Flexraid but it seems that the Person who develop it and support is nowhere to be seen.

I was also doing a look at Freenas but i have noticed it does not work with different size drives and i have multiple drives with different sizes.

So my question is does Unraid support different drives sizes.

if i want to get data of the drive is it possible to plug the drive into a external drive and get data off.

thanks for the help everyone.

each individual data drive in the parity array is independent and can be read on any computer that supports linux filesystems.

UnRAID is happy to have a mixture of different sized drives in the array (which is one of its strengths).   The only restriction is that any parity drives must be at least as large as the largest data drive.  If you want to start using larger data drives you first have to upgrade any parity drives to a larger size.
