NoVnc windows dont work in Firefox on Linux.

Featured Replies

Im running a fresh installation of Manjaro and I opened up firefox to check on my unraid VMs and was very disappointed to see that novnc isnt working.

With Linux VMs I can see the terminal (all my Linux VMs are server distros so no desktop), but with my Windows 10 VM (the important one, lol) I just get a black screen.

Update: I just tried Chromium and it doesn't work there either.

Works fine for me, Mint 19 Cinnamon with Firefox 66.0.1

hmmm. I'm running 66.0.3.

I also noticed that my cursor disappears completely when I am over the area of the window where the VM should be shown.

I still cant figure this out. it works just fine in Windows and MacOS, but it doesnt work in Manjaro using either Firefox or Chromium...I guess I can try Chrome, but I REALLY didnt want it installed on my computer.

Just tested Chrome, and it doesn't work there either.

Why are you stuck on NoVNC? It's convenient when it works, but it's really a second rate solution to what should be handled by a real VNC client.

Install Remmina with vnc and be happy.

Thanks for the tip, Remmina seems to work just fine.

Good thing too, I was starting to worry as no other VNC viewer was working either. I had already tried Realvnc, and Ultravnc, and neither of those worked either.
