October 14, 201015 yr I am running multiple instances of Preclear via the six console. I accidentally started a preclear on a disk that is already in the process of being precleared in one of the other console. I tried a ctrl-c, but nothing happens. I don't even get the prompt where I have to enter Yes. Looks like all my other preclear instances are frozen too. The unMenu is not responding either. Any suggestions? Edit: I telnet in and killed all process associated with the duplicate instances. 01. Would this have harmed the current preclear on that disk? 02. It appears all the other preclear processes are still running, but very slow since the screen do not update as frequent and percent does not increment as quickly as before.

If you just started a second preclear it would be in the pre-read phase. Odds are it did not affect the first pre-clear you started on that disk. Joe L.

Actually, I never it got to the prompt where I had to answer Yes. The whole console just froze after I typed the command. Looked it froze when it tried to query the disk for information. Now unMenu is unresponsive and the other preclear instances appear to be at a snail pace. Could something be slowing the system down that I can kill?
