[Support] ich777 - Gameserver Dockers

Did it work on your friends machine?

I would recommend before you reinstall your OS that somebody else tries to connect to your server and see if they got the same issues.

Have you anything simmilar hearlike this before @Spectral Force?

He can connect to both his own and my server and it plays fine - but when I try and connect my PC either freezes on the loading screen (sometimes at the "creating player" part and other times it either freezes just before or whilst downloading the map itself.

On the rare occasion mine has got into the game all seems fine until a couple of minutes in when my "E" button stops working and then invariably I just drop through the ground and keep falling - forcing a ctrl/alt/del shut down being necessary.

I originally tried to set up a Darkness Falls server but since this issue persisted, I also tried a vanilla server leaving all of the settings as default - same issues when entering the game and then freezing when loading!

It's clearly an issue with my machine - I just don't know what else to try on top of a full reinstall??? Are there any 7DtD files elsewhere on my system that I could try deleting in case they are the issue?

I really don't know 7DtD good enough but from what you described it can only be a problem with your PC or files...

Is the container restaring or is it running?

How much CPU and RAM did the container use?

On what Unraid version are you? What CPU do you have?

Have you installed a cache drive?

When does it wipe the map exactly? When you connect to the world?

Have you installed any mods?

so sorry for the late reply!!

1. cache drive?

2. It wipes usually in the early morning, it crashes, boots everyone out, and on restart its wiped
3. no mods

Can you be a bit more specific please?

I've now tried it and it works flawlessly, here is the output from the Docker pull command:

So everything is working again for you?

What CMD files are you talking about?

Do you changed anything within steamcmd.sh?

Looks like you have no Cache disk installed.

Can you change the "ServerFiles" path to: /mnt/user/appdata/valheim instead of /mnt/disk1/appdata/valheim?

Maybe this will help in your case.

Hii all,

Have been running Valheim server for 5 month without problem but that is one thing that bothers me. When i check Unraid log i get this in the log and have checked it is from Valheim docker. Is any way to stop this?

Are you sure this is from the Valheim container? This happens usually when a container restarts.

@bonienl do you have a clue why this happens? It seems like the container restarts but it doesn't restart, see this post:

@gunnarh does this also happen when no one plays on the container? Is this maybe caused when someone connects to the Valheim server? How often do you get this message? Are you sure that the container is running and you actually can connect to the game server?

Totaly doable but you need a separate account for the serverfiles to download or you disable your steam guard if you enabled it (steam recommends to create a dedicated account for all your dedicated servers).

I will look into that also.

Thank you for saying you'd look into this Natural Selection 2 docker, having a separate steam account is not a problem for me to setup... I dont totally follow on the next part (about how to implement rank/unranked) but if you know how to implement an option for ranked/unranked server I would be grateful :)

I was just checking in to see how things might be going with this?

Looks like I forgot about this for a long time... :P

I actually stopped creating containers for games that I personally don't own because giving support for such containers is a real nightmare for me.

Do you have a Cache drive installed in your Server?

Habe you changed anything in the template?

It looks like everything should work as expected, how did you try to connect to the container?

I tried to find the server in the LAN server list but also tried to connect via IP:port
