[Support] ich777 - Gameserver Dockers

It is possible to see it in the steam server browser. But I just had a friend test, and it gets stuck at "connecting to server".

I looked at the log on unraid, it said this:

It's the last part in red, that makes me wonder what it is, and why my friend can't connect to it?

As i said these are not Errors, these are warnings.

Also this is part of SteamCMD and not from the dedicated server itself and has nothing to do with the game starting up.

 

This container works in two steps first step download the game through SteamCMD (these are the warnings that you've marked in red) and the second step is to finally start the server itself and also there are warnings but these are not errors.

 

You can also google this warnings like: dedicated server Loading Steam API

 

I don't know why he can't connect, if he adds the server for the first time to the favourites he had to click on more time on refresh so that he can connect to your server that is a common thing.

 

Also have you changed any settings in the template or some of the gamefiles?

Have you read the description of the ports carefully, if you change the port (also note you only must forward the UDP port) you need to create a new one in the template.

 

I also attached the last few lines from my log if you don't beleive me and there are also this warnings it is all good if it says at the end that it's connected succesfully to the steam servers and that the token is partially shown i think you can read this in the last few lines in my log.

Good morning (I'm from Europe)

I haven't changed any config files or anything, since I wanted the sever to go online first.

It shows this on my servers when I try to find it:

Does it mean it's online? 

 

I've only used the default port for now.

Does it mean, if I change the port, I need to set it all up again, and not just restart the server?

This should mean that the container is reachable from outside if you forwarded everything correctly.

But the last few lines of the log are the answer to that, look at the last 10 lines of my log, it must say that the key is valid and that you are publicly connected to the steam servers.

Can you post a picture from your template page or your docker run command and also from your minecraft folder?

i would like to add stracker to your assetto corsa server for unraid. 

I found a docker -> https://github.com/germanrcuriel/assetto-corsa-server which would include stracker. 

 

stracker is a webserver statistic mod for assetto corsa.

stracker is also as a standalone download at racedepartment. -> https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/stracker.3510/

 

Is there a way i can add this to your unraid docker app or can i install it as a separate docker ? 

 

I am very new to unraid and docker.

Hello,

i will take a look into that and report back, please give me some time.

But since im located in Austria and i'm currently at home, COVID-19 situation, it should not take to long (but i have some other projects pending), i will try to implement that in my container. ;)

Is it working now?

 

Also you don't have to set it up completely new if you want to change the port, just change the configfiles and then updated the template to your needs.

Container is now updated please delete the whole container from your template page (you don't have to delete the folder in the appdata folder) and redownload it from the CA App (please keep in mind it takes a few hours so that the new template with the added options are available).

 

If you see this section in the template you are good to go, just set the variable Install Stracker to 'true' (without quotes) and it will install it:

Hello I have the MinecraftBasicServer installed and I am trying to open the console. I tried using the following command but I get this error message.

docker exec -u minecraft -ti screen -xS Minecraft
Error: No such container: screen

I then tried it using the docker's console and got this error.
 

sh: 1: docker: not found

Am I just not entering it in the wrong place?

the docker command does not exist within any container, and you would just enter in whatever command you want to run  (ie: it looks like screen -xS)

Because you're trying to exec into a container named "screen"

 

You would probably want

 

docker exec -u minecraft -ti Minecraft screen -xS

 

Although if all you're trying to do is open the console, then I'm not following what you're trying to do since you did enter the console in the second example.

There was an error in the template and i think you have got the old one the right command should be (without quotes):

 

'docker exec -u minecraft -ti [YOURCONTAINERNAME] screen -xS Minecraft'

 

Please note that you must replace [YOURCONTAINERNAME] with the corresponding containername for example:

'docker exec -u minecraft -ti MinecraftBasicServer screen -xS Minecraft'

Please try to copy all your .pk3 files from your gamefolder into the server folder.

EDIT: Better speaking all your pak*.pk3 files (with all the numbers) ;D

In which folder did you copy the files?

EDIT: Also is this the full game or the .pk3 files from the demo?

Can you change the path from /mnt/user/... to /mnt/cache/... in the template, then it should work, allready updated the template (but this will take some time that it updates) and also updated the container itself there was another issue (maprotationfile was not properly downloaded).
