In my case it downloaded the version 309.42 like you see in the screenshot:

Can you post a picture from the template page?

Sorry for the waiting time but SteamCMD seems to struggle a little bit...

Here you go. My files are stored on an unmounted disk rather than the cache disk (because my cache disk doesn't have the space). Another difference I have is a (fully working until this update) "Mods folder" variable, because I run a cluster of 8 Ark servers and don't really feel like having them all have their own individual mod folder, taking up 8x the disk space. This variable centralizes that for me.

This goes back to my initial post, after I edit this .ini and run the server, it creates a ghost directory with new files running standard and ignore every other file I edited.

Server is now working please update the container, it is now working.

Please stop the container, delte the folder 'Zomboid' from your server directory, then click grafik.png.67df93caba22ee68340875fa8efe4fda.png, update the container and start it.

Strange...

Can you post a log from beginning to end when you restart the container with the Validation set to 'true'?

I can't imagine why it doesn't work...

Should be doable.

But give me time, eventually a got a little bit of time today...

EDIT: Avorion should be available within the next few hours in the CA App.

Do you know any reason why this docker wouldn't support mods in the avorion server? I've been running this docker for a while, and have been thrilled with the performance. Problem is, I decided I'd like to try to run mods, but have added the modconfig.lua as is described in Avorion's instructions, but it will not recognize it. It just keeps telling me 0 mods found in modconfig.lua.

Thank you for the fast reply!

Have you specified a path in the lua file or did you left it empty?

I left the path empty. It's a long story, but I can actually confirm that the modconfig.lua file I have works. I setup a ubuntu vm and installed the avorion server on that. I've been using that as my modded server for a week or two ish now. I'd prefer to go back to your docker though because it is much simpler to run, and the performance was better.image.thumb.png.65f3c736d8c8052a9100ee401ce8fb3c.png

I will look into this as soon as i have time but keep in mind that i actually don't own the game and if i can't see an error from the console i will not be able to fix this.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that Steam recently changed the download strategy because of COVID-19 and a user, a few post above, reported that his ARK server doesn't update properly.

Also i'm seeing really slow download times through steamcmd...

EDIT2: Please send me your modfile so that i can test it.

No problem. I appreciate your help. I'm hoping that you may see something I don't. All I see, is a message that reads roughly 0 mods found in modconfig.lua, but maybe you can gleam something that I can't.

Arma3ExileMod, now finished and works like it should ;)

Please open a console window for further information if something doesn't work. I've put instructions how to do and install everything into the console window.

Should be available within the next few hours in the CA App. ;)

Good to know. I think that this mod issue is unrelated since I was having the problem a week ago, though it is possible that it is related.

The container works properly look at my log. The only thing that i've did was placed your modconfig.lua into the directory '.../AvorionDocker/AvorionDocker/modconfig.lua'

Where did you place your modconfig.lua?

Also did you change the 'GalaxyName'?

Thank you for the help. I'm not sure what was wrong, but I uninstalled the docker, backed up the files, deleted them, reinstalled the docker, and copied the files back in and now it works as expected! Thank you again!

Thanks for the Quick fix on the RCOn access. One other issue i'm running into when I restart the server, all files are downloaded and any changes ive made go back to default. I currently run a set of custom maps & have to manually update the maplist everytime the server is retarted so that the admins can change to the. Is there anywa to have some files not get modified? or would it be worth setting up a autoexec.cfg file to copy the changes into the maplist.txt file on restart?

Have you set the validate option to true?

If so, steam will always replace your files if they are downloaded trough steam cmd.

All other files are untouched.

I do have it set to validate!

Leave the variable 'Validate' empty and you will not have the problem.

The container will also check on every restart if there is a newer version even with the variable 'Validate' empty.

Validate should only be enabled if there is a problem itself with the gamefiles, so SteamCMD will check all files if the are the same as on the Steam servers.

Please note, these questions are all game specific and has nothing to do with the container itself (the conatainer works like a normal linux gameserver - without the hassle to set it with the initial configuration up).

Ok, so what exactly do I need to do if I want to run 2 ark servers using this container.  Have one up and running just fine.  Setup a second and change ports and no matter what I do, I cannot see the 2nd server.  Even if I look through steam both show but I am unable to add as a favorite or join the second server.  I have tired everything I can think of.  Second game folder, different ports, etc. logs show server is running but there is just no way for me to connect.  Do I have to edit files in that instance of the container somewhere? Must be missing something simple as I have seen others noting they are running 3+ servers using this.

Arma3ExileMod, now finished and works like it should ;)

Please open a console window for further information if something doesn't work. I've put instructions how to do and install everything into the console window.

Should be available within the next few hours in the CA App. ;)

So, I kept getting this error message when joining my own server. Tried like countless "Exile Mods" in the Steam Workshop. I spent all night last night and most of the day today and I finally got it to work!

I had to use this exile mod instead: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1339410397

And also copy the files to the server as well and replace the files in the @Exile folder.

Yay! Thank you ich777!
