When I switch it over to my second NIC (br1), which I assign static IP like other game server containers. I am unable to connect on 7777, tried adjusting game params in thread without any luck. Is there a work around for second network card with static IP assignment?

I'm not aware of any issues when using a second NIC nor in brX.

It is really hard to troubleshoot when removing your IP addresses since I can't tell if it's even the same subnet or not if it isn't maybe it's related to the subnet routing on your network?

However this seems like a routing issue to me since nothing changes if you assign a dedicated IP to the container except that all ports are then opened up and port forwarding in the Docker template isn't needed anymore.

I've been running the Satisfactory Docker server on a dedicated PC, for local use only, for awhile with no issues, but recently updated to Satisfactory version 1.1 and before I could try it, I also switched ISP. My gaming PC can see the server, but when I launch the game and try connection to the server, i get "Server name pending. Not Authenticated." At first I though the server was still updating to version 1.1, but I've let it run for several hours and I still get the message. Any ideas? Scratch this, I reinstalled the docker container again and this resolved the issue. Thanks for all the great work on the docker servers!

Just restart the container and it will pull the update, my containers are self maintaining meaning that I don‘t have to update them.

If the automatic update doesn‘t work please do the following:

  1. Stop the container

  2. Delete the steam* folder from the main directory

  3. Start the container

  4. Open the container log and see if it pulls an update

So I fired up my ASA container in prep for the new map coming soon and it keeps getting stuck at

I think it completed the startup becuase it says Full Startup: 13.68 seconds, however I could be wrong about that.

@Mainfrezzer can you maybe help?

something is not loading correctly. please repull the image and run a validation for the gamefiles. Your commandline for the server, i.e, the game parameters and the extra ones would be handy to troubleshoot if it does still persist

so i backed up all my save data, removed everything, containers, steam cmd and ark-asa folders from appdata, re installed everything fresh and the server started up no issues ONCE.

After that initial time im back to where i started

I had to remove every mod id from the command line (grand total of 2) tried each one seperately same issue.

I take it its a question of waiting for the mod creators too patch something?

idk if its just this container or mod creators but other self hosted servers on the ingame list are using mods

So, I'm trying to do a couple of specific things with the Vintage Story docker. I need to either import or create a serverconfig.json (as one seems to have not been created) and import a world file that my friends and I have been working on in preparation for this server when I finally got around to building it out.

Go to your appdata directory and there you will find the files that you need to edit, please always stop the container in the first place, then edit the files, then save the changes you've made and start the container again.

Just deploy the container and it should work OOB without needing you to do anything special.

Scum just had its 1.0 release today. I read that there should also be a dedicated server available now. Anyone got an Idea how to set it up.

EDIT
I found an official how to:

Haven't looked at it yet but it would be amazing if someone knows how to turn it into a an unraid app.

I would also like to know if anyone can get it and share it as an app on unraid

Sorry, but this is the wrong thread to request a game server Docker.

I don't create game server containers any more.

Hey everyone, just wanted to know if there was a possibility of adding a variable to the Longvinter SteamCMD app? If not, is there a way to add one myself? According to the logs, it looks like the server is validating files on refresh and resetting the config back to default values. Also, what is the recommended way to input SteamCMD commands into the container? Clicking "console" on the app and trying to input commands there doesn't seam to actually be communicating directly with SteamCMD as all the commands say they're not recognized. Thanks in advance!

Forgot to add a line asking for instructions on adding a variable to the config.

Please look at this thread, it looks like more of a miss-configuration from the paths to the game files:

I was able to apply cache settings as per your recommendation in the original post. I changed the paths in the template from /user to /cache, and when looking at the game.ini, it's combining the two files with duplicate variables with the changes I made + the original default .ini values.

As per the commands, I'm trying to log into steam so that I can download workshop mods mainly.

Sorry, that's not possible with my containers.

What is the difference with the Ark Ascended Repository ghcr.io/ich777/steamcmd:asa and ich777/steamcmd:asa?

For some reason I have servers with both though most are ich777/steamcmd:asa.

I am trying to sort through some issues with my cluster still since I had to move the appdata folder to put in a larger cache. I can transfer just fine to at least one other server but many let me transfer/download my character but there it does not seem to download the map. Also weird issues with the servers showing up PVP though they are PVE (and set correctly). Edit: Figured this out. I forget to change the path name to the name of the new cache. :)

Some of these no doubt are Ark Ascended issues but I would like to know if there is a difference with the repositories?

Thanks

No difference, just two different container registries.
