Hi, I'm not very good at computers, and I want to setup a NextCloud server on my desktop

 

What are the pros and cons of using a Docker image or a regular install in a VM ? (performance-wise, ease of installation, etc...)

    I would go with the docker image.  That way give you a point-and-click install of the actual application.    Running via docker is much lighter weight and easier to set up than doing it in a VM.
