Migrating drives to a new unraid tower

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've been testing unraid with an atom board.  I've got another board of the same exact type.  I'd like to make the second atom board my "real" box.  I've got the following setup:

Parity: 2TB

Data: 2TB, 3x 1TB

Cache: 250GB

I'd like to start migrating drives and data to the second atom board.  All my data is on the 2TB Data Drive.  I'd like to use the current 2TB data drive as my parity drive in the "real" box.  Can I just pull the 2TB drive, and let parity rebuild on the current "test" box?  Or is there a better way?

Thanks for the advise.

Never mind.  I just physically migrated the drives to the other board, works fine :)

That's the beauty of being hardware independent.
