I'm planning on adding a new SSD to my cache pool, and was wondering if and how Unraid users test new SSDs.

 

I give spinners a SMART long test, and 3 Preclear passes.

    IMHO no point in testing SSDs with SMART tests, possibly one of the reasons they were removed from NVMe devices, just add them to the pool.
